Thanksgiving 2007

Family gathered at Grandma & Grandpa Wayne Wilson's in Logan, UT for Thanksgiving. There were about 30 people in the home, where tables were set up in various locations. Here are some photos from that occasion.

Video from Family Gathering, 11/11/07

A short video of the family.

Family Gathering

This happy young man is Matthew, our 2nd grandson. He is almost 2 years old. He is such a happy young man (most of the time). Matthew is the son of Brian and Emily Wilson
Our son Brian with his mother. Brian is currently serving in the Army reserves. Happy Veterans Day!
All of the family is gathered, except for Porter. It is getting harder to get everyone together at a given time. The image of Brandon and Felicia is a live video feed from their apartment in Cambridge, MA. About the only way we will be able to be together.
And now the proud grandparents with three of their four grand children. Ross is holding Amelia and Matthew. Robin is holding Kathryn.
Another photo of the three grandchildren.

John Provine (1751-1792) Grave Site

The "new" Paint Lick Presbyterian Church.

The marker giving some history of the original location of the Paint Lick church. This is located in the cemetery.

Here is the tombstone for John Provine, the original and the one that is also marking the site.

The original tombstone reads" In Memory of John Provine who departed this life Feb 28, 1792 in the 41st year of his Age". It is getting somewhat difficult to read.

John Provine and Paint Lick, KY

Here are some fun photos from Paint Lick, Kentucky. It has probably been over 100 years since a Provine decendent has visited this location. I am glad that we were able to take the time to locate and document the visit.

This store is a furniture manufacturing plant. It uses the same type of tools and technology as you would have seen in the 1700-1800's

Some signs indicating some of the happenings in and around Paint Lick when John Provine and family would have been living there. Fun to think about!

This is referring to the church that John and Family would have attended while living there.
