
Robin and I had a great time visiting Nauvoo. It was amazing to see what the early Saints did there in the short space of time they actually lived there.
The photo on the left is of the Nauvoo Temple taken from Parley's Street or The Trail of Hope. It would be similar to the view the Saints saw as they left Nauvoo.

Behind the Visitor's Center is a beautiful garden with several statues. This is an example.

This is a view of where the "Sunset on the Mississippi" evening performance used to be done. The river has risen a great deal. Fortunately, the location had been moved earlier to another permantent location at a much higher location.

Depicting Joseph Smith showing Brigham Young that the Saints were, in time, to move westward. This is very close to the above picture. The water had previously been lapping at the base of the statue.
