Visiting Carthage, Illinois was a very singular experience. We had been listening to some CD's in which the speaker (Truman Madson) was talking about the Prophet Joseph Smith. To learn about him and then visit the location of his death, was insightful. As you may know, he fell from the upper window in this photo.
